Gate City Day Nursery Association is a non-profit early childhood education organization
that has been in existence since 1905 serving children and families in Atlanta who are most in need.
The revenues that we generally receive through fees and tuition, subsidized programs, and grants come
short of covering the funds needed to ensure that children are adequately prepared for kindergarten.
Your generosity will go a long way to making an impact on the lives of the children and families that
we serve.
How does your money help the children and families of Gate City Day Nursery Association?
Your money goes to help us to continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Funds are used for the purchase of quality educational materials and supplies, training for our
staff, and for improvement to the facilities. Your dollars will help provide quality and
comprehensive early childhood education to children that range in age from birth to five years.
In addition to our curriculum, we have a social services program of family-based intervention,
designed to help all families improve their functioning and achieve economic independence.
Parents are also offered information and training on developmentally appropriate practices,
ages and stages of development, curriculum development, and activities related to their
child’s educational goals. We encourage our parents to attend monthly meetings and workshops,
and to become actively involved by volunteering in the classroom as well.
You can help us to continue to achieve our mission through your donations:
to adopt a center, to help subsidize parent tuition, enhancement of educational
components, new innovative approaches to learning, and technology and software
for children’s computers.
Gate City Day Nursery Association is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization,
and your contributions to our program are tax deductible. We thank you for
your support of our program.
